Body Care for Men

Topical Fat Loss-Men

If you have a body with a uniform distribution of fat but you are overweight, we would say that you are the lucky one, since the problem is solved only by a proper & balanced diet that the Nefer Dietitian can recommend. Also, lymphatic massage enhances metabolism and fat loss.

However, we rarely see bodies with a uniform distribution of fat, i.e. without “love handles” or belly. Even lean and fit people need to see their abdominal muscles beneath the thin layer of fat that can cover them. Topical fat on “love handles” or the belly is an aesthetic problem that preoccupies a lot of people and it can definitely be improved or eliminated depending on age. At Nefer Beauty Salon & Diet Centre, topical fat loss treatments are selected, always thinking about body health and respecting the physiology of the human body.

For us, the solution for weight loss is a combination of diet, aesthetic care and exercise.

Because there is no diet aimed at local fat deposition, at Nefer Beauty Salon & Diet Centre, we offer methods for topical fat loss, targeted at the areas where fat is stored, in specific areas to increase metabolism locally and ultimately achieve a more harmonious-looking body!

Topical fat loss

What is cavitation?

Cavitation is a pioneering, active lipolysis treatment in areas of the body with extra fat and for boosting lymphatic circulation.

Cavitation is ideal for areas such as:
– Arms
– Belly
– Inside of thighs
– Outside of thighs
– Knees
– Back sides

How does it work?

This method of “lipolysis” Cavitation is based on the phenomenon of “cavitation” where, using low frequency ultrasounds, tiny vacuum bubbles are created in the fat tissue and the adjacent fat cells followed by cell membrane “rupture” and discharge of fat – in the form of trilinolein – through the lymphatic system.

The process is painless and pleasant.

Following the session and its duration, it is recommended to consume 2 litres of water and a balanced diet.

Is it safe?

There is no concern about cavitation, as the method is completely safe and it is recommended for all body types, regardless of age or gender. However, Cavitation is not indicated for pregnant women and people with kidney failure. At Nefer Beauty Salon & Diet Centre, we comply with all the necessary specifications for the treatment, with fully qualified staff and state-of-the-art appliances.

How many sessions are required?

There is no specific number of sessions required, as this is determined by the extent of the problem and the goals you have set. An appropriate frequency for the method is definitely 1 – 2 sessions/week, a total of 6-8 sessions.

Cost: €120 for 6 sessions per application area*

Session duration: 30 minutes per application area*

Number of sessions: 1 – 2 sessions/week

*An area is defined as the size of an A4 piece of paper

Topical fat loss or skin tightening

Shock Wave – Impact Ultrasound

Eliminate topical fat and sagging skin once and for all in a safe, non-invasive and painless manner with Impact Ultrasound – Shock Wave.

What is Impact Ultrasound or Shock Wave and how does it work?
In aesthetics, we use many types of ultrasounds. Impact Ultrasound – Shock Wave is also a new technology for body sculpting.
It is a high-frequency, high-powered ultrasound that has the ability to “strike” and penetrate deep tissue in the form of waves. In the area where these ultrasound waves are applied:
⦁ blood circulation increases
⦁ the body’s natural healing mechanism is activated

It is a proven method that was first applied in medicine in 1980 to dissolve kidney stones (lithotripsy) and later, in physiotherapy for the recovery of painful conditions in the tendons and muscles.
In recent years, Impact Ultrasound – Shock Wave has been used in body aesthetics to eliminate cellulite, topical fat and sagging skin. The intensity of the impact ultrasound we use in aesthetics – compared to their use in medicine and physiotherapy – is shaped at lower energy levels and applied to a larger area of the body.

What are the effects of Impact Ultrasound – Shock Wave on body and skin image?

⦁ On skin, skin tighetning and improving body contour. Pressure from the power of ultrasound creates “minor injuries” to the skin, resulting in activation of the natural mechanism of healing of the skin, the creation of new collagen.
⦁ At the level of the skin, it succeeds in reducing stretch marks.
⦁ Increase of blood circulation. This oxygenates the skin tissues, resulting in a local increase in metabolism, resulting fat loss.
⦁ With proper manipulations from the beautician, lymphatic drainage is promoted. This reduces swelling and fluid retention in the lower limbs.

In which areas is Impact Ultrasound – Shock Wave applied?
It is easily applied to any area with cellulite or topical fat deposition and sagging skin.

Indicatively, it is applied on:
⦁ Arms
⦁ Belly
⦁ Thighs
⦁ Hips
⦁ Inside of knees
⦁ Back sides

How is the session carried out?
The beautician spreads a therapeutic fat-soluble or firming product to your skin, selects the appropriate program for each case (topical fat, skin tightening, lymphatic drainage) and then moves the impact ultrasound on your skin, using a hand-held “head”. You hear the noise of impact ultrasound and you feel a slight vibration. The skin becomes red and warm due to increased blood flow.
The session is carried out in 2 stages. During the first stage. the beautician uses a head and a program with less vibration, for more superficial action on the skin and during the second stage, we will use another head and program for more in-depth action.

Is the session painful?
It is a pleasant process and many feel relaxed. If there is grade 3 cellulite, which still hurts with skin pressure, the intensity can be adjusted to a lower setting.

Does it leave marks on the skin or does the skin hurt after the session?
It does not leave marks. Only people with poor blood circulation can develop small bruises, which recede very soon.

When do the first results appear?
The first results are evident from the first 6 sessions.

Are there any people who should not have a treatment of Impact Ultrasound – Shock Wave?
It has generally no contraindications, except for some serious conditions such as:
⦁ Cancer
⦁ Thrombophlebitis (when Shock Wave is applied on legs)
⦁ Taking of anticoagulants
⦁ Pacemaker
⦁ General unwellness

What dowe suggest you do after the session?
At Nefer Beauty Salon & Diet Centre, we advise you to do some things after the session to enhance the effects of the Impact Ultrasound – Shock Wave and to improve your overall body image more quickly.
⦁ Drink at least 2 – 3 litres of water a day.
⦁ Follow a balanced diet, low in fat and sugar.
⦁ If you are overweight, start a balanced hypocaloric diet.
⦁ Do 30 minutes of aerobic exercise daily (walking or jogging).

If you follow these tips, it is certain that the treatment results will be even better.

Electro-muscle stimulation - EMS Training

At Nefer Beauty Salon & Diet Centre, we have a natural solution to improve topical fat. Electro-muscle stimulation – EMS. In a tranquil, friendly and clean environment, without a crowd and always adhering to safety rules. It is the appropriate way to drop a dress size if:

  • You are tired of exhausting diets with no effect.
  • You don’t like intense exercise and a room full of other people working out.
  • You don’t like crowds and inquisitive looks.
  • You need personalized training because of injuries.
  • Generally, your free time is very limited.
  • You exercise intensively, but you want to increase your stamina.

What is electro-muscle stimulation EMS?

EMS derives from the term Elecro Muscle Stimulation. That is, electrical stimulation of muscles (electro-muscle stimulation).
It is a system that sends electrical stimuli to all of our muscles at the same time. Literally, from head to toes, causing their simultaneous contraction, with no risk of injury.
It increases muscle contractions in a way that the body could not do on its own. For example, 10 reps with weights achieve less muscle contraction.
It strengthens the whole body – activating 650 muscle groups.
Each muscle can be activated and stimulated more or less intensely, depending on your mood and purpose.
The results are fast and less time consuming, while the wireless application of the electrodes gives you freedom to perform aerobic exercise.

What do we achieve with electro-muscle stimulation EMS?
Depending on the programs we will use, we can achieve the following with EMS:

  • Reinforcement
  • Firming
  • Boost of metabolism
  • Improvement of body posture
  • Relief of back and waist pain

How does the process work?
You wear:

  • vest with electrodes on the upper torso and an electrode on hands, stimulating the back (upper and lower), the waist, the abdomen, the pelvic floor, the deep back, the chest muscles.
  • “pair of shorts” with electrodes, stimulating lower leg muscles, such as legs, thighs and, if desired, calves.

The above electrodes are wetted in order to penetrate the muscles.
Then, we adjust the power up to a level that is comfortable for each person and the session begins.

After wearing the special vest and shorts with the electrodes, what do I do during the session?
Depending on the fitness and health of each person, you can perform from moderate intensity to active, dynamic exercises. Many times we also use some accessories such as fitness tires, TRX straps, treadmills, balls, step etc.
Exercises are always conducted under the guidance of trained personnel.
In the case of musculoskeletal problems or athletes with strong demands in the practice room, then the exercises are guided by a Physiotherapist.

I have injuries, can I do EMS?
When we have people with musculoskeletal problems that make it difficult for them to move or restrict their movement, then the sessions are supervised by our physiotherapist, Giota Vlaseros, who has extensive experience in sports injuries. Her supervision ensures that EMS is properly implemented without a hitch. Moreover, the method alone does not strain the musculoskeletal system.

What do I feel during the session?
You feel a pleasant tickle because of the current that flows through all of your muscles at the same time. But the power is adjusted by us in order for you to be comfortable.

What do I feel after the session?
By the end of the session you may feel a slight fatigue in your muscles and a slight pleasant feeling in your body, as we have after exercising, due to the secretion of endorphins.
However, if you are one of those who want to experience the feeling of exhaustion after a strenuous workout, the method will certainly not cover you.

When will I see results?
This depends on the person’s overall physical condition (weight, age …), diet, lifestyle – exercise. The first results start to appear following the first 4 – 6 sessions.
1st month. You begin to see changes in your body and mood.
2nd month. Your acquaintances notice a difference.
3rd month. People say flattering comments about your fitness.

Can it be combined with exercise?
It certainly can. We would even say that it is necessary.
Ideally, it should be combined with aerobic exercise, even on the same day. This will enhance results, as we promote the functionality of the training to very high levels.
It can also be combined with weight training but with caution. After 24 hours.

With what other methods would you propose to combine the EMS system?
First, a balanced nutrition is essential.
In addition to diet, it can be combined with:

  • Hypoxi to reduce topical fat storage (areas where fat is stored) from belly and back sides.
  • Lymphoid massage (SPM) to enhance the detoxification of the body.
  • Mesotherapy to reduce fat in “love handles”.

What is the appropriate age for those who want to try EMS Training?
From 18 – 70 years old.

What should I wear and have with me?

  • your sport shoes
  • the special leggings and t-shirt you will buy at Nefer before the first session for personal hygiene reasons. They have anti-sweating, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial properties.
  • It would also be advisable to have extra underwear with you, as the ones you are wearing will get wet.

How long is the session?
It lasts 20 minutes and time flies quickly and pleasantly. It corresponds to 2 – 3 hours of training in the gym.

How many sessions are required per week?
2 sessions per week and once you reach your desired goal, you can reduce the sessions to 1 per week.

Is there is a limit to the long-term use of EMS?
You can always do EMS, just as we mentioned and once you reach your desired goal, you will reduce your sessions to 1 time per week.
The electrical stimuli that are naturally produced by our central nervous system and the contraction of our muscles become more intense with the EMS, which uses the principle of electro-muscle stimulation more vigorously.

How much does it cost?
It starts at 35 €/session and the more sessions you do, the price can be as low as 20 €/session.
In addition, the first time you will buy your own set of leggings to wear before wearing the vest with the electrodes.

Disadvantages
Due to overactive muscles, which can lead to overwork, the value of CPK (creatine kinase) increases.
For this reason, you can do a maximum of 2 sessions/week with a 4-day interval between sessions.

Regarding the current applied with the special vests, is it possible to harm the body;?
It is not harmful to the body in any way. Low frequency currents are applied, which have been used safely in aesthetics and physiotherapy for many years.
Our muscles are electrochemical organs, which require electrical stimulation from the central nervous system in order to contract. Electro-muscular stimulation – EMS, taking advantage of this property, utilizes these low-frequency currents, thereby intensifying muscle contraction.

In which cases is EMS contraindicated?
There are some absolute contraindications or some contraindications where you need your doctor’s permission.

  • Pacemaker
  • By pass
  • Recent surgery
  • Hernia
  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Tuberculosis
  • Advanced stage arteriosclerosis
  • Diabetes
  • Fever and acute bacterial or viral infections
  • Epilepsy
  • Thrombosis
  • Severe circulatory disorder
  • Haemophilia
  • Artificial parts
  • Screws in fractures
  • Cancer
  • Serious problems with blood pressure

Is electro-muscle stimulation – EMS a new trend?
It is old. It may not have been in this form, i.e. a combination of electrical stimulation in the muscles and exercise, but Luigi Galvani, in 1761, had scientific findings on the properties of currents to activate the muscles. But mainly the current was used to repair muscle problems.

Are there any studies on electro-muscle stimulation?
There are studies demonstrating the efficacy and safety of EMT. Some of these are the following:

  • Effects of Whole-Body Electromyostimulation versus High-Intensity Resistance Exercise on Body Composition and Strength: A Randomized Controlled Study (NCBI – Published online 2016)
  • Whole-body electromyostimulation as a means to impact muscle mass and abdominal body fat in lean, sedentary, older female adults: subanalysis of the TEST-III trial (NCBI – Published online 2013)
  • The efficacy and safety of whole-body electromyostimulation in applying to human body: based from graded exercise test (NCBI – Published online 2018)
