In order to tackle hyperpigmentation, our two most important goals are:

• Reduction of accumulated melanin, topically on the skin and
• Inhibition of the enzymatic activity of tyrosinase, which stimulates the melanophore to produce melanin, which gradually “comes up” towards the keratin layer and gives us the picture of a sun blotch (hyperpigmentation).

Treatment stages

• • Use of a special facial cleanser, based on exfoliating fruit acids, soap-free and skin-irritating sulphates.
  • Application of a  serum with acids, suitable for skin whitening:

Phytic acid has a whitening (inhibits tyrosinase activity), antioxidant, anti-inflammatory activity.

Mandelic acid has whitening properties and is at the same time a mild exfoliating peel, so as not to irritate photo-aged skin.

Lactic acid reduces the formation of melanin.

• • Application of an anti-wrinkle booster – serum with retinol
  • Μask with moisturising, soothing and regenerating action. Enriched with moisturising hyaluronic acid and zinc.

Information you need to know after a Peel session

• Mild redness and skin irritation may occur after the session.
• Mild exfoliation can occur the day following the Peel and may last for 1 – 4 days.
• You can resume your normal activities immediately. The skin does not need downtime.

For the treatment to be comprehensive, it must begin with the appropriate soothing products at home at least 10 days in advance and  it continues during the sessions at Nefer Beauty Salon & Diet Centre.

After the sessions, the results are maintained at home with the appropriate products recommended by the Nefer Beautician.
Although you should always wear sunscreen on your face, neck and chest, especially for Peel sessions, you must wear sunscreen. In particular, sun exposure should be avoided 10 days before the treatment and for 1 month after the last session.

What are Liposomal Peels with acids?
These are peels with acids, providing dual action for skin renewal and hydration, encapsulated in liposomes.
This has two main advantages. Not only does it protect the acid within the product itself, but also, simultaneously, upon application to the skin, it gradually acts in-depth without externally irritating the client’s skin.

What are the benefits of Liposomal Peels:

• Effective for all skin types and tones, even for darker skin.
• Safe for use in all seasons, including summer.
• Immediate skin restoration without irritation or intense peeling.
• Biomimetic action on the skin. The lipid composition of the liposome is similar to that of the epidermis (phospholipids, lecithins, and cholesterols), allowing it to renew the skin and stimulate rapid regeneration, alongside the action of superficial exfoliation.

We select 2 liposomal monoacids from the 4 liposomal monoacids in each session:

The liposomal Peeling used at the Nefer Aesthetics & Dietetics Center is the Duosomals by Toskani.

Information to know after Liposomal Peeling with acids:

• Mild redness and tightness may appear after the session.
• Mild flaking can occur the next day after the peel and may last for 1-4 days.
• You can immediately return to your usual activities. The skin does not require recovery time (downtime).

For a comprehensive skincare regimen, it starts with appropriate soothing products at home at least 10 days before and continues during the treatments at the Nefer Aesthetics & Dietetics Center.

After the sessions, the results are maintained at home with the appropriate products recommended by the Nefer aesthetician.
Although you should always wear sunscreen on your face, neck, and décolletage, especially for Peel sessions, sunscreen is a must.

Microneedling therapy is performed using the Neopen MED® device by Toskani.
Microneedling therapy is also known as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT).

The Neopen MED® by Toskani is a digital device, which resembles a pen, with a disposable head featuring six very fine needles made of surgical steel at its tip.
The needles move up and down at a rapid speed on the skin, creating a controlled injury. Microchannels are formed on the epidermis and dermis without causing significant damage to the outer layer of the skin.

It is a minimally invasive procedure aimed at activating the skin’s natural repair mechanisms, in order to rejuvenate damaged or aged skin. This is achieved because with the needle (puncture):

• Increases collagen & elastin production
• Stimulates neovascularization (Improved oxygen supply to the skin)
• Growth factors are released

At the same time, the microscopic channels created in the epidermis facilitate transdermal delivery of active substances, while quickly closing again. The depth reached by the microperforations with microneedling mesotherapy is 0.2mm – 0.5mm.

The results are visible from the very first application and are completed in about 3 months for the full results of the microneedling procedure to appear, such as reduced appearance of wrinkles and improved skin elasticity. This is due to the time required for new collagen formation.

How is the Pen applied?
The Pen is a device resembling a pen, with a single-use head attached to its end, containing fine needles. The length and number of needles are chosen by the aesthetician based on the desired outcome and the individual needs of each client.
By applying the Pen to the areas we want to target, small punctures are created. These micro-injuries stimulate fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin, thereby increasing the skin’s firmness.

At the same time, specialized mesotherapeutic serums are used, whose absorption into the skin is enhanced by the Pen.

This has 2 advantages:

• Through the small punctures, we can penetrate deeper into the skin with the active ingredients we will use.

How does Photoregeneration with Aurora whiten my skin?

The Aurora device is a safe method for the removal of the unpleasant skin “damages” on the face and body.

It utilises the technology of two different energy sources. light energy which is the pulsed light or IPL and electrical energy which is the RF or radio-frequency. This technology is called ELOS (Electro Optical Synergy) and makes the treatment more effective.

It targets the capillaries and the melanin, which creates the brown marks / hyperpigmentation of the face, leaving the rest of healthy skin intact, from the surrounding area.

Thus, we achieve bright skin, with no sun blotches, spots or discolouration!

Who needs skin photoregeneration?

Anyone who wants to improve the look of sun spots or ageing sings, e.g. pigmental and vascular deterioration, as well as of rough skin texture.

What time of the year is appropriate for Photoregeneration?

Photoregeneration is done exclusively in Winter, on skins that are not tanned. This ensures that no side effects are created after the session.

It is also not for people who do winter sports (open-air swimming pools, winter swimming) and generally for those who do winter sports and their skin is exposed to the sun. Moreover, it is not permitted for those with photosensitivity.

What will the skin look like immediately after a photoregeneration session for sun blotches?

After 2 to 4 sessions, you may feel a heating effect on the area of application, such as the feeling we have after a mild sunburn.

First, spots will darken and fade within 1 – 2 weeks.
