Semipermanent make-up for eyebrows
If your eyebrows are very thin or have fallen for health reasons, Sempiermanent Eyebrow Make-up will restore your facial expression again.
Semi-permanent Eyebrow Make Up

Eyebrow semi-permanent makeup is a specialized micropigmentation technique in which pigment is implanted at a superficial level, just below the epidermis (in the upper dermis), to create a natural and aesthetically pleasing result.
At Nefer Aesthetic & Dietology Center, eyebrow semi-permanent makeup is performed using the following techniques:
- Hairstroke Machine PMU – digital hair-by-hair technique using a PMU machine
- Microblading – manual hair-by-hair technique
These methods can be combined with shading where necessary.
Both techniques are applied by Kyriaki Maria.

Session Stages
- Before photos
- Skin antisepsis
- Eyebrow shape determination using a special compass according to facial anatomy and symmetry
- Pigment selection
- Digital symmetry measurement with a special app
- Semi-permanent makeup application using PMU, Microblading, or a combination
- Photos of final result
- Post-care instructions
- Scheduling a follow-up session after 1 – 1.5 months
How many sessions are required for the final result?
Two sessions are required. The second session is scheduled 1 – 1.5 months after the first.
How long does the semi-permanent eyebrow makeup last?
The results last from 9 months to 2 years depending on factors such as:
- Skin type: oily skin: about 1 year (sometimes less); normal or dry skin: up to 2 years
- Post-session care – Proper care maintains pigment longevity.
- Pigments used – Quality and composition affect durability.
- External factors – Sun, certain facial treatments, and unsuitable products can accelerate fading.
For well-maintained results, maintenance every 1–1.5 years is recommended.
What is the PhiBrows method?
The PhiBrows method is a specialized semi-permanent makeup technique based on the Golden Ratio (Φ = 1.618) for symmetric eyebrow design according to individual facial anatomy. Eyebrow shapes are calculated based on facial symmetry and not fashion trends. The final design is measured with a special Golden Ratio compass, the pigment is chosen according to natural hair color, and symmetry is digitally verified while the facial muscles are relaxed.
The method originated from Branko Babic’s PhiAcademy, the oldest and largest Microblading school in Europe, adapting the original Asian technique to European facial features. Later, digital PMU devices were also incorporated into training.
What is Microblading?
Microblading (manual hair-by-hair technique, also known as microstroking or hand method) is performed manually with a special pen and sterile blade that implants pigment via tiny strokes, creating fine, realistic hairs.
Advantages of Microblading/PhiBrows:
- Very natural result
- Ideal for filling gaps or reshaping eyebrows
- Mimics natural hair perfectly
What is Hairstroke Machine PMU (digital hair-by-hair technique)?
Hairstroke Machine PMU uses a digital PMU device with a specialized needle to create fine and natural hairs. It is an artistic, detailed process requiring time, knowledge, and respect for the skin.
Advantages of Hairstroke Machine PMU:
- One of the most advanced and natural semi-permanent eyebrow methods
- Suitable for all skin types, including sensitive and mature skin
- Pigment is implanted more evenly and fades less over time (if properly done)
- Delicate, realistic, and aesthetic results mimicking natural eyebrow hair
- Almost painless
- Results age beautifully over time
Why does Hairstroke Machine PMU take longer?
The session is slower to ensure detailed, natural, and properly healed results. Quick pigment passes may implant pigment immediately but can appear harsh, blur under the skin, and look unnatural over time.
Hairstroke Machine PMU Technique at Nefer
Kyriaki Maria applies the technique at Nefer with absolute control, creating tiny dots to “build” fine, well-designed lines mimicking natural hair. The result is natural, clean, well-shaped eyebrows with correct healing and longevity.
Hairstroke Machine PMU & Shading
Shading is applied only where gaps exist, naturally, without weighing down the brow, achieving better balance, density where needed, and a natural look with or without makeup.
Differences Between Hairstroke Machine PMU and Microblading
| Feature | Microblading | Hairstroke Machine PMU |
|---|---|---|
| Application method | Manual (blade) | Digital device (needle) |
| Suitable for oily skin | No | Yes |
| Deeper pigment penetration | No | No |
| Duration | 9 months – 2 years | 9 months – 2 years |
| Blurring risk | Higher | Lower |
| Application sensation | Light discomfort | Almost painless |
